Hot Lunch and Pizza Days

Pizza Lunches are on Wednesdays and Farm’s Gate Hot Lunches are on Fridays
We are pleased to offer new hot lunch options this year from Farm’s Gate Catering. To accompany the Farm’s Gate Lunches an option of a fresh fruit smoothie from the ‘Good Bite Lunch Company’ is also available. Both of these companies use whole grains, organic and local produce whenever possible plus all earth friendly, compostable, packaging. Vegetarian options and gluten free options will be offered when possible.
The Hot Lunch Programme has grown this year to offer more hot lunch days as a service to parents, it is always nice to not have to think quite so much about packing lunches! If your child enjoyed (or didn’t enjoy) a particular lunch let us know on the email.

Pizza this year is coming from our local pizza parlour Mill Bay Pizza. Students really enjoy it and the gluten free option has been such a success that we will offer it on the new forms to all students! 3 month order forms for January – March have already been sent home and are due back as soon as possible, no later than January 5th!
If you missed ordering Pizza, you can still get an order in for the March 7th day - Orders must be received and paid by March 1st
Pizza Day dates until Spring Break are: January 11th February 8th March 7th
ATTN Gluten free orders, we are hoping we can offer all 3 options but we do need a minimum of 4 orders/kind of pizza to order it. If we only get one order of one type, we will call you to pick a second choice. Please make sure to include your phone number on the order form.

Farm’s Gate Fridays
Order forms will be sent home each month for Farm’s Gate Friday Lunches. Some samples of the menu ideas are below and we invite you to offer any feedback on them. Watch for the forms or check back here for a downloadable one when they are ready!

Good Bite Lunch Company
We plan to offer the Good Bite Smoothies with all our Hot Lunch Fridays for $2.50 each. These fresh fruit smoothies offer a choice for students who need more food at lunch or who aren’t keen on the entrée option and would still like something on Hot Lunch day.
Good Bite Lunch Company also does a weekly catering business to local schools. You can order a lunch for your child on a Thursday or Friday anytime - independent of our Hot Lunch dates. Please go to www.goodbitelunch.com for more details and to see their extensive lunch menu!
